Waitress / Waiter Job Description

A Waitress/Waiter, or server is responsible for ensuring that our guests have a positive and memorable experience at Chai Hookah Lounge. They accomplish this by exhibiting excellent customer service and sharing their expertise. Their duties include greeting guests, taking their orders, communicating with team members in the back about orders, and carrying hookahs and beverages to their respective tables.

Waitresses/Waiters generally have the following duties and responsibilities at Chai Hookah Lounge:

• Greeting guests and taking hookah and drink orders
• Staying attentive to the needs of the guests in the lounge area (example: Changing charcoals or delivering head changes)
• Delivering Hookahs and beverages from the back to the guests
• Ensuring the hookahs are made correctly by the hookah experts
• Following safety standards assigned by management
• Addressing consumer complaints in an appropriate and timely manner
• Completing point of sale transactions and cash handling
• Answering phones (whether it’s taking orders or answering consumer questions)
• Performing shift duties like preparing hookahs, filling coolers, filling charcoal buckets, filling sugar caddies, making sure that the lounge area is guest ready, and more.
• Resetting booths and sections
• Sweeping and mopping the lounge area
• Performing additional tasks such as preparing hot beverages, cleaning restrooms, filling coolers, dishwashing, and other tasks assigned by management.
• Being familiar with the retail area and the products that it contains
• Upselling
• Performing any additional tasks assigned by management

As a Waitress/Waiter you are expected to always have a positive attitude towards the guests. Communication is key, whether it is with the guests, team members, or management.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
