Job Summary

This hands-on role will serve as part of the Compass Group North America Cybersecurity team, providing oversight and coordination of vulnerability management activities. This role will work with internal and external partners to assess security vulnerabilities, provide status reports, coordinate with all parties involved, and drive timely remediation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous vulnerability lifecycle management, detecting, monitoring, reporting, and assessing impact from internal and external sources. Develop and drive remediation strategies to address vulnerabilities and reduce attack surface and overall cyber risk.
  • Assist with strategic planning, driving improvements and providing input on capabilities and methods for vulnerability management and security testing. Demonstrate operational excellence, developing detailed and clear documentation and systems automation. Support compliance and risk management activities, recommending security controls and corrective actions to mitigate vulnerability risks.
  • Develop and maintains positive relationships and communication channels to drive end-to-end vulnerability remediation.
  • Exhibit pragmatism in formulating remediation and implementation strategies, defining work tracks, and submitting assessment findings and recommendations with a prioritized and business-aware approach to reducing cyber risk.
  • Have an understanding of the broad regulatory landscape affecting Compass business areas; remain current with emerging regulatory requirements as well as solution trends in the marketplace.
  • Have an understanding of new technologies including but not limited to mobile and cloud technology.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of IT engineering experience in cloud, server, and/or network infrastructure
  • 3+ years experience conducting vulnerability assessments
  • 2+ years experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or other related field. Significant and relevant technical experience meeting the job description may be substituted for degree requirements.
  • Experience with Rapid7 InsightVM platform a plus
