We are looking for a leader to design and execute the company’s omni-channel digital experience, demand generation and sales activation strategies. This digital leader will be a key revenue and profit driver for the company with responsibility for deepening the brand’s advocacy with both the consumer and the health care practitioner, driving and converting traffic to profitable transactions through all online channels, supporting leads generation for our health care practitioner network, and driving digital innovation.

The VP, eCommerce is a catalyst to develop and execute the digital, data-driven, customer activation efforts, lead generation and tracking, omni-channel campaign management, website management and optimization, and all social media activity. This individual will grow and scale the Metagenics Digital Ecosystem which includes Health Care Practitioner resellers and recommenders, patients and consumers throughout all business units and channels. Reporting to the Regional VP of Americas and serving as a member of the Americas Executive Leadership team, this individual is a people first, results-oriented leader that will partner cross functionally and globally to gain alignment, build, manage and execute the eCommerce vision, strategy and roadmap.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive Ecommerce Marketplace Leadership. Lead the design and delivery of an exceptional customer experience in the digital channel that is intuitive, seamless and engaging—one that allows Metagenics prospects and customers to be educated and inspired and provides for tailoring and self-service to individual customer needs.
  • This role will develop and activate the company’s digital demand generation and consumer Ecommerce strategy, with full P&L accountability for Metagenics.com, Bariatricadvantage, Baritasticstore.com and Amazon.com. We need someone who brings a “growth hacker” mentality and a laser like focus on incremental and profitable growth.
  • Oversee the team that is charged with driving the success of the brand’s Direct to Consumer business operations through digital marketing, forecasting, budgeting, P&L accountability, site management, site merchandising, and Ecommerce analytics.
  • In partnership with other internal teams, help manage effective merchandising and product stock levels to drive improved decision making related to product assortment and the promotional calendar.
  • Work with our internal teams to provide business requirements, business cases, and marketing perspective for new online initiatives including site enhancements, site experience improvements, personalization, and the customer shopping experience across all online channels to effectively and profitably increase traffic, drive conversion, and enhance AOV, LTV and engagement while managing CAC and CAC:LTV optimization
  • Provide input to senior leadership to help shape and inform the Annual Operating and Sales Plan for owned and marketplace Ecommerce, including commitment to a range of internal KPI’s. The Ecommerce plans must embrace and support the broader corporate growth agenda.
  • Manage external Agency partners with an eye to performance and continuous improvement and enhancements
  • Collaborate with Americas field sales team and channel marketing team to create an industry leading shopping experience that bridges the gap between physical and digital merchandising
  • Coordinate efforts with our Brand and Digital Marketing team so the approach and branded messaging online is integrated, consistent, and optimized for success.
  • Ensure the communications, messaging, promotional calendar, offers, etc. are fully consistent and integrated across all digital channels and aligned with overall marketing direction and objectives.
  • Assist in development of our 360° go-to-market planning for new product launches.
  • Oversee the activation of a comprehensive content strategy designed to improve SEO results and rankings, drive awareness, consideration and ultimately preference for the Metagenics and Bariatric Advantage brands and products
  • Deploy specific demand generation tools in order to enhance digital merchandising and organic search results to accelerate profitable growth. In the case of Amazon, this will require an understanding of their Advertising Console and Amazon DSP
  • Data-driven collaboration with other internal teams to improve revenue, OPEX, and inventory forecasting
  • Manage and perform competitive intelligence to identify promotional activities based on first and third party data that fit the company’s strategy and positioning
Team/Development:
  • Cultivate a collaborative, creative, motivating environment that values innovation and talent development
  • Inspire and develop a high performing team and gain buy in and partnership to achieve goals with cross functional teams
Reporting, Financial/budgeting:
  • Own the ecommerce Budget and P&L; reporting on all levels of data for ROI and KPI metrics
  • Manage the financial planning of ecommerce across channels, reporting, and reforecasting sales targets and shifting spend to drive performance while adhering to budgets and goals
  • Design A/B testing, improving digital funnels, and increasing conversion rate
  • Experienced with marketing analytics and measurement evaluation being able to turn evaluation into media spend optimization

Performance Measures:

  • Revenue Growth, Profit & EBITDA
  • Digital marketing ROI; Digital Reach, Frequency & Engagement – Traffic, Conversion,
  • AOV, LTV, CAC, CAC:LTV profit

What you'll need:

  • Recent experience directly managing a DTC storefront or online retail channels with a minimum annual turnover of $20MM+ and developing digital marketing plans to profitably grow that business. Strong Experience with Amazon marketplace. (1P and 3P)
  • Experience working within SEO/SEM, Email, Programmatic Display, Affiliates, Retargeting, Social, Mobile, SMS, Content Management, UX, etc.
  • “Data-first, data always” thinking, experienced in blazing fact-based pathways through large, complex data sets to uncover the insights that can transform a business or catapult it to that proverbial next level. We need someone with a bias for actionable insights with a robust “test & learn” approach who is quick to pivot as market conditions warrant.
  • Direct experience in performing digital Media Mix analysis will be a huge plus;
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
