Role Summary/Purpose:

The Vice President, Amazon Marketing leads a team of 3 to develop, execute and optimize the marketing plan to drive profitable growth for our credit programs in partnership with Amazon.

We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop growth strategy and initiatives to support annual goals and objectives; manage team members to implement initiatives and measure key success metrics, including but not limited to: account acquisition, activation, usage, and profitability

  • Lead efforts to align internally and with the client each year to build our new account and purchase volume operating plan for all credit products

  • Partner with Finance to provide guidance with ongoing forecasts throughout fiscal year

  • Actively manage our Marketing Fund with Finance and the client to ensure optimal cost/benefit to drive growth

  • Manage relationships with key client contacts to create winning growth strategies for new and existing cardholders

  • Partner with the broader portfolio support team (CD, Operations, Credit) to ensure execution of all marketing initiatives

  • Leverage data and analytic insights to improve segmentation, targeting, marketing communications, and customer experience

  • Drive research and competitive intelligence agenda to better understand our customers/cardholders and how our benefits and value proposition meet their needs; revise and adjust benefits and value proposition as necessary based on analytic insights and financial impact

  • Effectively manage brand and customer communications in partnership with Amazon’s marketing team

  • Partner with Analytics to build and measure effective test designs and build overall test and learn culture for continuous improvement and optimization of marketing campaigns

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 11+ years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industry

  • 7+ years business experience in roles of increasing responsibility

  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience

  • 5+ years leveraging marketing analytics to drive insights and campaigns

  • Ability to travel as needed

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's degree (Business or applicable related field)

  • 7+ years of experience within the credit card or financial services industry

  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, and influencing skills

  • Experience working with clients

  • Experience in financial services and/or retail environment

  • Project Management experience with a record of delivering on time and across functions

  • Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure

  • Combination of strategic thinking with ability and tactical understanding of how to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results

Grade/Level: 13


The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
