Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Neurology within Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Visiting Researcher will perform clinical data extraction, data entry, data archiving and analysis of patient information. Will prepare presentations as updates for research meetings. Proficiency in working with spreadsheets and databases is essential, and existing knowledge will be supplemented in the course of work.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Interfacing with the hospital electronic medical record to extract and validate research data.
  • Interfacing with the Get with the Guidelines stroke database to extract and validate research data.
  • Interact with discharged patients to recover research related information and clinical scales.
  • Data entry.
  • Attend regular meetings with the research group to provide updates on the state of the project, which may include formal presentation of data.
  • Further responsibilities as dictated by the needs of the project.
