Serve the People Community Health Center is looking to hire a full time, bilingual Spanish employee for our mobile school vision program. We are a non-profit community clinic located in Santa Ana. We are seeking a detail oriented, responsible person who is able to drive to Santa Ana and Anaheim elementary schools. Great working atmosphere with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Input data into our electronic medical records
• Knowledge of services being provided
• Communicating with parents/caregivers/guardians to explaining services being offered
• Ensures patients have patient information sheet completed
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance/eligibility
• Collects pertinent patient information within Electronic Health Record, eClinical Works
• Disseminates and promotes clinic information as needed
• Collecting student consent forms from parents/guardians at school sites
• Follows established procedures in the filing and retrieving of vision and medical records, if necessary

Skills

• Proficient in Spanish – must be able to speak with native Spanish speakers & help enroll their children for eye exams
• Proficient in Microsoft and Excel
• Must have driver’s license and working car as this job will require you to drive to different schools
• Data entry experience
• Must be Bilingual: English and Spanish

Education:

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience (Preferred)

• Previous experience using our electronic health records preferred but not required
• Clinical setting: 1 year

Work Hours

• Tuesday- Saturday, 8am-5pm

• STP currently follows all CDC guidelines. All STP employees are required to wear masks in the office irrespective of vaccination status.
