Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our ER team! At Quakertown Veterinary Clinic, our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for our patients and an exceptional level of service for the owners who love them. We are open 24/7 and provide both emergency care and routine treatment for all types of pets, including cats, dogs, horses, farm animals, and exotic pets.
Our Veterinary Technicians play an essential role in our success by supporting doctors in the hospital, caring for patients, and interacting closely with clients in regards to patient care. Our ideal candidate must have previous experience as a Veterinary Technician and a desire to work in emergency medicine.
Part-time and full-time positions available. Available shift options include 2PM-12AM or 10PM-8AM. In order to best serve our clients and their pets, rotating on-call shifts and select holidays are required for this position.

Responsibilities: .
- Assist the doctor in medical, surgical and dental procedures; prepare patients for surgery; assist the doctor in administering anesthetics; monitor patients during surgery and recovery
- Administer fluids, injections and oral medications
- Take radiographs and perform EKGs
- Perform emergency procedures such as control of bleeding, resuscitation with oxygen, and external cardiac massage
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures (such as skin scrapings, urinalysis, and fungal cultures); draw blood for laboratory analysis; ensure that test results are recorded in patient history
- Admit and discharge patients on the doctor's orders. Counsel clients on various aspects of animal care; explain dosage/purpose of medications and reinforce proper care and procedures that should be followed at home
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas
Qualifications:
- Previous veterinary practice experience required
- CVT or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during times of high tension
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
