Dripping Springs Animal Hospital is a beautifully remodeled, locally owned, small animal and exotic practice with a small, close knit team of passionate professionals. We know that going to the vet can be stressful for our patients and clients, and that their stress can become our stress, so we have designed our hospital to minimize stress at every step of the visit. We even have the only outdoor exam room in Austin, allowing our more fearful patients to see the veterinarian without having to come inside. Our team is required to become Fear Free Certified within their first year on our team to support our low stress initiative.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

Our client care specialists are responsible for ensuring the delivery of excellent client service at all times. Duties include welcoming clients and ensuring their needs are addressed, weighing pets, answering phones, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate electronic medical records and educating clients. When not directly interacting with clients, will be expected to support medical team with basic restraint and patient care tasks. Ideal candidate is friendly, empathetic, reliable, self-starting, team player with excellent communication and conflict management skills. The right person will be considered regardless of previous veterinary experience.

At least one year of client service experience is preferred. Experience with Idexx/Cornerstone is a plus. Position requires maintaining a clean and healthful environment and all team members are responsible for sharing cleaning and maintenance tasks. This position requires sitting at a desk for several hours a day as well as moving about the hospital frequently. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.

Must be available to work full-time; weekdays 7 am - 6:30 pm and Saturdays 8 am – 1 pm.
