Job description
With approximately 32 properties that include over 6,000 apartments, Goldfarb Properties is a family-owned and managed business, offering the finest newly renovated apartments across five diverse regions. Goldfarb Properties is seeking an experienced seasonal ( five (5) months assignment) maintenance porter for residential buildings located in Westchester County, NY.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager and/or Superintendent, porters are responsible for:
- Maintaining cleanliness of interior/exterior of the building
- Removing trash and operating trash compactor
- Cleaning property common areas
- Displaying care for property-owned maintenance equipment
Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Prior maintenance/janitorial experience
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in residential buildings
- Ability to use floor machines and other cleaning equipment is a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
- Team player
- Highly motivated independent worker
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Experience with stripping/waxing floors a plus.
