Description of Duties:

The Unified Communications Senior Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Be responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of operational systems providing Telephony and collaboration tools which deliver services to MDA government facilities throughout the Enterprise.
• Function as a single point of contact for Telephony and Chat Messaging teams across the MDA Enterprise.
• Ensure that Service Summary Items (SSI) targets and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) operational metrics are being met across the operational teams.
• Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and production of all activities associated with assigned projects.
• Maintain control of assets deployed across the enterprise in the Missile Defense Agency Request Ticketing System (MDARTS) inventory.
• Document any existing, or create any new IRES/MDA procedural documentation that is needed for operation processes.
• Provide input to any contract deliverables as necessary.
• Provide inputs to required daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly status reports for IRES and MDA IC.
• Support problem escalations, follow-up, and proactive activities to prevent service interruptions and/or improve the stability of the IT infrastructure.

The successful candidate will:

• Be able to work individually, or within a team environment, to accomplish tasks/meet schedules.

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

This position is expected to pay $118,000 - $128,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 4 years of general experience

• Must have 6 years of directly related experience in Unified Communications
• Must have 3 years of experience in a senior engineering role
• Must have a current 8570 DoD IAT Level II certification or higher
• Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Have a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
• Have a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
• Have a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification
• Have a ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
• Have an ITIL v3 Foundations certification
