Job Title: Ultrasound Team Leader
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am-4pm
Status: Full Time
Location: Mount Laurel/Rotates
Exemption Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY – Assist the Clinical Operations Director in overseeing the efficient operation of the ultrasound department while promoting excellence in customer care

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and exhibit superior customer service, exceeding the patients’ expectations. Welcome patients, make them feel special
  • Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor at all times, answer the phone in a professional manner.
  • Record technologist call outs and PTO requests; supply coverage accordingly
  • Coordinate/schedule technologists work schedules
  • Monitor patient schedules and staffing needs
  • Payroll monitoring and approval
  • Address and investigate patient complaints
  • Approve add on cases
  • Assist with ACR accreditation
  • Monitor technologist productivity
  • Perform technologist assessments and evaluations
  • Counsel/discipline employees
  • Address physician complaints
  • Oversee protocols
  • Act as a liaison between front office staff and U/S technologists
  • Interact with office managers and front desk supervisors
  • Schedule PMs for U/S units
  • Oversee HLD review
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
  • Punctuality and regular attendance
  • All other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – Responsible for assisting with operation of the Ultrasound department and staff

QUALIFICATIONS

  • RDMS certification
  • BA/BS a plus
  • Prior management and/or supervisory experience
Training and Experience

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Successful completion of an accredited hospital or college ultrasonography program
  • RDMS, RVT
  • Five (5) years’ experience as an ultrasound technologist
  • Prior management experience
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in computer programs including PACS, RIS and other job related programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates a professional and courteous demeanor to internal and external customers
  • Ability to perform job functions efficiently, accurately, and with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and remain organized
Physical Demands of the Position - Position requires daily contact with patients, staff, referring physicians’ offices, radiologists and vendors. There is constant standing and walking 80-90% of designated shift. Position may require lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and twisting.
