University Correctional Health Care seeks a UCHC Training & Consultation for the Central Administration offices of University Correctional Healthcare, located in Trenton, NJ.
Under the direction of the Director of Compliance and Training develops curriculum and delivers training to meet the mandatory requirements and supplemental training needs of New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC) and UCHC staff in the areas of infection control, first aid, AHA, BLS, treatment of patients with HIV, treatment of patients with Hepatitis, and other chronic diseases. Delivers mental health and administrative-related training to support the operations and mission of the UCHC’s delivering health care within NJDOC.

Minimum Education and Experience
Certifications/Licenses
- Valid NJ Driver’s License. Must possess own vehicle to travel between sites.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Master’s Degree in Education, Mental Health, Forensic Sciences, Social Sciences, Nursing or related discipline.
- Two years of experience with technical assistance, curriculum development and training medical and mental health professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Proficiency in public speaking, technology, computer literacy and typing. Ability to work at varying computer workstations provided by the Department of Corrections in shared office environments. Hearing and sight are essential. Ability to speak clearly and write proficiently is essential. Extensive reading required. Extended sitting is required. Ability to move from unit to unit within correctional facilities. Required travel within the state. Lifting of up to 25 pounds. Ability to implement Universal Precautions and Safety Precautions.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
