The Turnaround Associate reports to the Turnaround Manager and is responsible for turnaround scope development and control and will assist with TA Planning management and reporting. The Turnaround Associate will perform a wide range and high volume of analytical and administrative duties in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities May Include

Assist Turnaround Manager, Planning Team Lead, Coordinators, and Planners with analytical and information requests.

Lead role in compiling and developing Turnaround Work Lists and in facilitating Risk Based Scope Reviews.

Tracking, maintaining and reporting on Scope Change Requests for multiple events, outages, and Turnarounds.

Monitoring, Building Reports, and Reporting on Planning Status for Turnarounds.

Collecting data from different sources/databases (SAP, IPS, etc.) and generating reports from data, analyze data and provide recommendations.

Assist with long-term planning by utilizing data to build plans for Turnarounds.

Participate or lead the effort for Turnaround Benchmarking within the company and within the industry (Solomon). Collect the data, analyze the results, and propose opportunities to close any gaps.

Provide input into the Business Plan process.

Incorporate all approved Scope Changes into the estimate.

Assemble all permanent TA records after TA completion.

Close out SAP work orders and other computer maintenance systems after completion and after all costs have come in.

Required Qualifications

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

High school diploma or GED

3 or more years of relevant work experience

Experience in the use of SAP modules Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, and Materials Management

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or Engineering

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentation)

Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong analytical skills.

5 or more years of refinery experience

The Wood River Refinery is located in Roxana, Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri, at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes a mixture of light, low-sulfur; heavy, high sulfur; and high-acid crude oil. The crude supply is sourced domestically or from Canada. Wood River produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, asphalt and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers by pipeline, rail car, barge and truck and are shipped to markets throughout the Midcontinent region.
