Darling Ingredients is looking for a part-time Security Guard to join our team at our plant located in Veribest, TX. This role will be responsible for performing security tasks to ensure that the company’s property, equipment and personnel are secure.

This position will be part-time position scheduled to work from, 5:00pm to 5:00am on Saturdays and Sundays and also on Holidays.

PURPOSE:

Primary responsibility will be to perform security tasks during to ensure that the company’s property, equipment and personnel are secure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains environment by monitoring activity on property, and report any concerns to management.
• Perform security and fire inspections of Company property as assigned.
• Maintain logs and records as required.
• Perform security checks at wastewater (certain areas) on a regular basis.
• Expected to perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and write at a level that allows understanding of all safety training.
• Ability to use good judgment when monitoring activity on property and performing fire inspections.
• Ability to deal with uncertainty, use good judgment, be objective, be dependable, and be professional when dealing with issues as they present themselves.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Walking, lifting, bending, climbing stairs and ladders frequently.
• Ability to lift 25lbs

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Working inside and outside of plant environment.
