Job Summary
The Truck Assistant works alongside the truck driver while completing daily tasks within the trucking department. The Truck Assistant responsibilities range from helping the driver with directions, loading and unloading furniture, making phone calls to customers and completing donation cleanouts at store locations. This role is labor intensive.
Duties
Truck Assistant
Assist the Truck driver by making phone calls to next pickup and checking in with the truck management team, being a second set of eyes on the road, and guiding the driver when he is backing up (must be outside the truck)
Assesses furniture with the Truck Driver in order to uphold Liberty Ministries Thrift standards, lifting furniture, and stacking the truck to maximize space Assist with store cleanouts
Ensures that all Daily paperwork is filled out properly and submitted to the Assistant Logistics Manager
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Uphold the mission of Liberty Ministries
Have good communication and customer service
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, pull, etc. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Be of good physical and mental health with emotional maturity and a sense of humor
High ethical ability for following the policies and procedures of Liberty Ministries Thrift

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required
