SALARY: $20.92/Hr. (NEGOTIABLE)
(Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.):

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides administrative support for the Tribal Action Plan (TAP) initiative by assisting in the coordination and administration of programs, projects, and processes, and with the planning, preparation and control of TAP related communication, records, and documents. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare, edit, and review all correspondence, reports, minutes, agendas, memos, forms, and other documents as needed.
2. Welcome visitors to TAP office, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel, maintaining professional and courteous demeanor when assisting reception.
3. Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department, ensuring professional telephone etiquette.
4. Coordination of TAP meetings and community events.
5. Inventory, order, and check-in department supplies, equipment, and library materials.
6. Prepare employee communication materials, including but not limited to: newsletters, handbooks, presentation media, brochures, policy and procedure updates, and other related communications.
7. Establish and maintain internal communications through the uses of bulletin boards, employee publications, and meetings.
8. Establish and maintain external communication channels including social media, Kalihwisaks articles, attending community events.
9. Oversee and develop communication forums.
10. Solicit, write, and edit materials required to support communication efforts.
11. Represent the Oneida Nation at local, regional, and national events and on committees as directed.
12. Serve as communication liaison between the TAP office, community, employees, and external organizations.
13. Assist the Tribal Action Plan Manager with grant administration.
14. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.
15. The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on organizational needs and/or deemed necessary by the supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Frequently walk, sit; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds as required.
2. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
3. A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment and annually thereafter as required.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows
environment.
2. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing in diverse and challenging situations.
3. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
6. Ability to utilize social media for marketing and communication.
7. Well-developed interpersonal skills; tactful, mature with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups in a complex and multi-cultural environment.
8. Strong written communication skills to include knowledge of sentence structure, content of English language to include meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
9. Excellent customer/client relation skills. This will require the individual to be able to deal with the greater community, external entities and Tribal employees with tact, courtesy, respect, objectivity, and maturity.
10. Must be willing and able to attend additional training as needed/required.
11. Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters. (Must sign a confidentiality statement prior to employment.)
12. Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
13. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
14. Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation’s Gaming Division.
15. A valid driver’s license or occupational driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver’s license or occupational driver’s license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver’s license. Must be authorized as eligible to operate a Personal vehicle under the Oneida Nation’s Vehicle Driver Certification and Fleet Management Law prior to actual start date. Must maintain driver’s eligibility as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

2. One (1) year customer service experience and/or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
