Position Title: Transportation Manager

Shift: Day Shift, with after hours availability

Location: State College or Dubois, PA

Purpose of position and duties:

• The primary purpose of your position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the Transportation Department in each facility accordance with current federal, state and local standards guidelines and regulations
• Develop and maintain written transportation policies and procedures.
• Assist the facility transportation staff in the efficient deployment of resident transports to various medical or social appointments.
• Review the department's policies, procedures manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the facility Administrator.
• Assess the most appropriate mode of transportation for facility resident’s given specific medical needs
• Coordinate with both contract and in-house transport programs to ensure resident transportation is safe and timely for our customers
• Understanding of current billing and reimbursement for resident transportation who reside in a skilled nursing facility
• Interpret the department's policies and procedures to employees, residents, visitors, government agencies, etc.
• Assume the administrative responsibility, and accountability of directing the facility Transportation Department.

Qualifications:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years' experience in a supervisory capacity, in a transportation or logistics related position.
• Valid PA Driver’s license with no significant traffic violations in the past 5 years
