Position Description:

• The Transformation Office Communications Specialist will establish contacts across Enterprise Technology to find, create and promote success stories and new product launches to support the TO's mission
• The role requires a collaborative spirit that can work with multiple teams and balance several assignments under tight deadlines in an Agile environment
• An adaptable mindset is necessary for succeeding in this environment where continuous improvement opportunities are a focus
• The Communications Specialist must also be flexible, working in different time zones with diverse audiences, and can synthesize technical terms and processes into digestible communications

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Developing high-quality communications that are consistent with the Transformation Office's goals and objectives, including:
• Blog posts using interviews, observation, research
• Various memos and briefs
• Presentation support
• Reports for employees and leadership
• Employee engagement collateral
• Video script collaboration
• Memes, social media posts, and event promo copy
• Assisting in the identification and improvement of communication channels
• Ensuring the channels are user-friendly and regularly accessed by employees
• Collaborating on projects with internal and external teams, including video shoots, presentations, marketing campaigns, etc.
• Providing proofing and editing support with high levels of attention to detail and quality
• Uploading and managing the internal SharePoint
• Driving to various locations for interviews, video shoots, client meetings, and events as-needed
• Coordinating meetings, assisting with event support, and ad hoc team projects as needed

Skills Required:

• Published portfolio of written pieces for print and/or digital publications
• Proven track record of working on a deadline
• Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to support projects outside of core responsibilities to support team goals
• Ability to quickly learn and understand complex environments and team dynamics
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Ability to establish a culture of continuous feedback loops with customers through multiple communications vehicles
• Creative and organized problem-solver who can plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously and independently

Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years' internal and/or external communications experience required

Experience Preferred:

• Working knowledge of automotive's key collaboration tools (e.g. WebEx, Webcast, Spark, SharePoint, Yammer)
• Working knowledge of Rally
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint, including working knowledge of how to create, manage and maintain SharePoint sites
• Ability to convey information creatively and graphically
• Prior experience in an Agile delivery environment while utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or Scaled Agile framework

Education Required:

Degree Description: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, and Communications

Additional Information:

• Proven track record of creatively crafting communications in various mediums: Long-form articles, short promo copy (advertising and social media)
• Tech is not a must
• Quality of work is - Seeking journalists and/or folks that work in advertising/marketing. Request a portfolio of work for potential candidates.
