Training and Development Manager

The ideal Training and Development Manager candidate will be responsible for conducting needs assessments and developing training across departments to ensure employees have access to development resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops training and development programs and objectives
  • Builds the framework for the new hire training program, IndeAcademy
  • Plans, organizes, and facilitates leadership training across all departments
  • Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media
  • Trains and coaches managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts
  • Creates training plans for everyone to aid their career progression within IndeVets
  • Develops the 6-month veterinarian training program to provide new veterinarians access to helpful resources and events that excel their knowledge
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
  • Modifies trainings and programs as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience, required
  • A minimum of three years' experience designing and implementing employee development programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics

Safety/Work Environment:

  • HQ office space or home office space
  • Long periods of time spent in front of a computer screen
  • Frequent typing and talking over the phone or Teams
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
