Pay Rate: $14.25

Summary Facilitates the successful transition of newly hired employees. The trainer will interact with new hires, probationary employees, plant management, and the Human Resources Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Completes the orientation process with all newly hired and/or rehired employees.
• Works with plant management to set-up training and assignment of new employees.
• General knowledge of basic production jobs with the ability to expand knowledge into all areas of production/processing.
• Acquaint newly hired employees with various production job duties through communication, demonstration, and training.
• Spend time in the various production departments with each new employee daily for the first 30-days of their employment and periodically throughout their initial 90-day probationary period.
• Provide proper training on Food Safety and Personal Safety requirements.
• Familiar with emergency evacuation routes and exits.
• Provided accurate information on functionality and locations of emergency stops on various pieces of equipment.
• Verbal and written communication with employees, managers, supervisors, etc.
• Speak in small groups of employees and/or members of management.
• Gather and enter data obtained for the Employee Retention Program (to include surveys).
• Communicate new employee concerns to management (applicable departments)
• Verify that records are created and maintained in a manner that meets HR standards.
• Responsible for all directives brought forth by human resource management.
• Maintain confidentiality with employee information.
• Provide feedback to management regarding new employee performance.
• Provide periodic feedback to HR management on methodology of training and proposed improvements.
• Other duties may be assigned by the HR department.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
