Role
The Traffic Control Specialist/Clerk is responsible for coordinating and directing truck traffic in and out of the Watco Greens Port Industrial Terminals in accordance with directions given by the Traffic Supervisor/Manager.
Responsibilities
Maintain Confidentiality with all information provided.- Follow all safety rules and policies and report any safety issues.
- Maintain a safe work area on the roads in the Terminal.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the terminals’ operating capabilities and processes.
- Direct/Escort trucks to the correct location for pick up/drop off.
- Serve as direct point of contact in the event of any trouble trucks (lost, unattended).
- Control of entrances and movement of truck traffic.
- Divert traffic more effectively when Zones are experiencing high truck volumes.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Attendance is vital to the Traffic Team.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisors/Manager.
