Job description

The FTZ Coordinator will be responsible for performing all daily/weekly FTZ tasks for reporting inventory,receipts, shipments, and adjustments to CBP as required.

The position will manage all aspects of the FTZ Trade Compliance program such as managing daily receipts and inventory discrepancies, FTZ Export documentation, implementation & maintenance of a “best practice” FTZ program, and continual impact assessment of proposed and current Customs regulations. The FTZ Coordinator must be a productive member of both the Future MADC and the Global Trade Compliance teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit required FTZ admissions
  • Compile data and create spreadsheet and send to agent for weekly withdrawals
  • Respond to inquiries from broker and express courier personnel regarding FTZ shipments
  • Generate quarterly HMF, Annual Board reports
  • Prepare Annual Reconciliation Report
  • Serve a point-of contact with service providers and CBP
  • Ensure all FTZ record keeping requirements are complete and readily available for CBP review as needed
  • Validate FTZ data against actual documentation to ensure accuracy of information as needed
  • Locate entry documents for inventory received into warehouse incorrectly
  • Participate in/support the objectives of the MADC Compliance team, Corporate Trade compliance tea, and Global Trade Compliance Management team
  • Train other employees on 214 and Concurrence processes as needed
  • Distribute documents and information as needed to meet regulatory requirements
  • Create FTZ procedures and training material as needed
  • Provide impact analysis on new and proposed regulations
  • Perform other tasks as needed in order to meet business requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (college preferred)
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in US Import operations
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems, warehousing and logistics activities including knowledge of Customs terminology and US Tariff Schedule
  • Knowledge of “best practices” for Trade Compliance program in general and US Exports in particular is an asset

Special Skills

  • Good working knowledge of Import regulations and dealing with CBP
  • Experience working in a Foreign Trade Zone with FTZ software
  • Strong typing and computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills are required
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment
  • Must be a “self-starter”
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet usage
  • Excellent business writing ability

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
