Job description

The Role: Building Maintenance Technician

This position is for someone who has commercial building systems knowledge and the ability to inspect, document and electronically report deficiencies to management, as well as approve repairs made by outside contractors.

Job specifications are as follows

Basic to advanced understanding of and the ability to oversee repairs, maintenance and troubleshooting of:

• Flooring
• Carpeting
• Painting
• Plastering
• Drywall
• Wall coverings
• Windows
• Doors

Basic to advanced understanding of and the ability to oversee repairs, maintenance and troubleshooting of the following systems:

• Electrical
• Domestic water plumbing
• Sewage plumbing
• Fire Alarms
• Fire Sprinklers

Necessary qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively using electronic communications
• Ability to effectively produce and manage written reports
• Clean and valid Driver’s License
• Ability to climb ladders

This position will also require the capability to perform front of house contractor/client liaison meetings and/or discussions regarding the above outlined topics to best serve the management of a high end commercial/medical entity.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
