Job description

A Terrain Delivery Driver collaborates with the consolidation and operations teams to deliver plants to various Terrain locations in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, & Maryland. This is a full-time role and requires some shifts that start at 5am or 6am.

Brand Experience

  • BRAND REPRESENTATIVE: operates as an extension of the brand while on deliveries and maintains professional and positive demeanor
  • STORE ENVIRONMENT: upkeeps cleanliness standards with the consolidation tools and receiving areas to ensure the store is tidy and safe for customers and employees
  • CUSTOMER SUPPORT: on occasion, may support local customer order deliveries

Teamwork + Communication

  • COMMUNICATION LOOP: communicates daily with the Consolidation Supervisor to strategize and execute the delivery needs; communicates with Consolidation and Store teams any delays due to traffic or truck problems.
  • CONTRIBUTE: works productively with the teams in each location to efficiently load and deliver plant material
  • FLEXIBLE: on occasion may support other areas of the Styer’s store when delivery work is minimal; areas of support include but are not limited to shipment processing or site maintenance

Visual + Business Operations

  • RECEIVING OPERATIONS: works collaboratively with the consolidation receiving & fulfillment team to process incoming plant shipment into Consolidation inventory
  • ORDER FULFILLMENT: assists with pulling and staging all product listed for shipment based on buyer requests; packs all product securely onto the truck to minimize damage to plants, shipping carts, or truck
  • STORE DELIVERY: supports the store receiving employees to efficiently unload product; confirms item counts, plant condition, and signs off on paperwork
  • VEHICLE MAINTENANCE: performs daily inspection of truck and communicates any issues requiring attention or repair; ensures truck is fueled and assists with maintenance of vehicle
  • AWARENESS: adheres to company’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all policy and procedures to support the profitability of the brand

Requirements

  • Must have valid driver license
  • Must be able to fulfill requirements of DOT medical exam
  • Experience operating trucks 14’-24’ in size
  • Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs and push 100lbs on a daily basis
  • Willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Early morning/weekday availability
