Swanton School seeks a Technology Coordinator to begin in mid-May or at the conclusion of the current school year.This position coordinates and maintains the technology systems, resources and programs of the Missisquoi Valley School District at Swanton Elementary School to maximize system effectiveness and efficiency. Swanton Elementary is a 600+-student PK-6 school with 100+ staff. This is a non-instructional, school-based, year-round position that focuses primarily on systems and hardware. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Provide IT support for students, faculty, and staff.Identify IT projects and execute as appropriate under the direction of the applicable Administrator.

Maintain inventory and replacement cycle of devices.Maintain IT work-flow for new/departing faculty, staff, and students (accounts, group membership, devices, etc.).Support security for the school (i.e., network security, content filtering, surveillance, building security, etc.).Provide support for 1:1 program. Support technology-based student assessments.Work with Director of Technology to plan school technology budget, prepare requisitions and place orders. Review and update Acceptable Use Policies for students, faculty, and staff.Monitor school ticketing system, prioritizing and coordinating work with other MVSD IT staff to resolve problems efficiently.Maintain, review and update global systems based on best practices (i.e., GSuite, Cloud Print, Apple School Manager, etc.).Maintain licenses for hardware and applications.Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of technology equipment, apps, and services.Assist in maintaining school network including infrastructure, Wifi, IP address allocation (external and internal), firewall, filtering, and internet connections. Attend school and district technology meetings.Remain current on emerging technology.Coordinate the disposal of tech waste.Provides staff with training as directed by the Principal or Director of Technology.Regularly updates the Principal regarding upcoming projects and current work so that staff may be informed in a timely fashion, as applicable.Engages in the professional development necessary to perform all duties outlined in this job description.Provides written monthly technology reports to the Principal for distribution to the Board.Works in tandem with the instructional technologist to provide a seamless experience for students, faculty and staff.Performs additional technology related tasks as required.Position open until filled.
