Job purpose

The brush room technician is responsible for supporting the daily direction from the brush room supervisor in the areas of production, scheduling, safety, maintenance, and quality

Duties and responsibilities

- Work with a small team of people in execution of daily production tasks, work scheduling, training, and maintenance

- Work on continuous Brush Room improvement

- Troubleshoot and adjust brush machine parameters to maintain quality and maximize production output

- Coordinate tooling and equipment availability, repair, and maintenance

- Ensure cleanliness and maintain a safe work environment

- Responds to problems by using established HCP corrective actions and systems to identify the root cause

- Implement proper technical or mechanical solutions
Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices

Qualifications

- Ability to multitask

- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and/or a technical role required

- High School Diploma or GED required

- Must have strong technical and mechanical aptitude/skills

- Must be proficient in trouble shooting

- Must be able to use measuring equipment, calipers, micrometers, and comparators

- Basic math skills required

- Automation skills preferred

- Knowledge of pneumatics a plus

- Ability to read and understand brush drawings and mylar

Working conditions

- This job requires you to work amongst multiple types of machinery in the brush room, while interacting with other operators and technicians

- Fast-paced environment that requires Hairnets and Earplugs at all times, as well as gloves when handling brushes, belt, and packing.

Physical requirements

- This job requires walking, bending, standing, crouching, and twisting

- This job requires the pushing and pulling of parts and part containers

- This job requires the ability to lift boxes and bags up to 50lbs

- This position will report directly to the Brush Room Supervisor
