Job Highlights

  • Manage Sales and conduct customer visits and document properly using CRM, negotiate commercial terms of business and provide technical insights.
  • Willingness to travel 70-80% of the time with overnight stays mostly domestic, on occasion internationally, occasional weekend work (project, trials) expected.
  • Technical consultant to the customer in regard to beverage stabilizing technologies, plant hygiene, sanitation and process control.
  • Plan and conduct technical application trials (industrial and laboratory) at beverage companies, including safe handling training of VELCORIN and NAGARDO in an operations environment.
  • Forecast sales, reconcile variances and achieve turnover budget.
  • Attend fairs, trade shows/society events, internal group meetings, etc.
  • Gather market intelligence as to what products are used in which applications, pricing of those products, and potential volumes required by potential customers.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to represent the “voice of the customer” and/or customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science (preferred in Food Science) or equivalent sales experience.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience with 3-5 years' experience in the food industry, preferably in the brewing or soft beverage industry with extensive knowledge of production, beverage quality, bottling and sanitation and disinfection processes.
  • Experience in beverage plant operations, beverage plant quality systems, field sales and/or marketing of food ingredients, cleaning and disinfectant agents, filters or similar supplies to the beverage industry. Extensive technical knowledge in the beverage industry.
  • Communication – express ideas / information clearly, concisely, use active listening skills.
  • Persuasiveness / negotiation – gain acceptance of ideas through communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving – anticipate / identify problems, analyze correctly, consider alternatives, monitor results.
  • Self-management - ability to operate independently and manage time well while maintaining communication with the team.
  • Teamwork – work productively with others, seek opportunities to bring people together.
  • Must be willing to travel 70-80% of the time.
