10 Month position (191 day contract prorated) for the remainder of this school year only.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a positive manner; ability to learn and use specialized instructional/management techniques as needed; ability to communicate and develop effective working relationships with students, parents, administrators, and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (SPECIFIC TO THIS POSITION)
Serves as a part of an instructional team of multiple teachers to provide varied levels of instruction to students;
Provides coverage of students occasionally to allow for classroom teachers to creatively schedule students or collaborate;
Serves as the primary substitute teacher when a teacher who is a member of the team is absent;
Works with individual students as directed by teachers on the instructional team
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Development Certificate (GED). Two years of college, 12 undergraduate credits in math/English or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment preferred.
