***Tax Senior, Public Accounting***
***Up to $70 - 90K + 5- 8% discretionary bonus***
***Hybrid in San Antonio, TX***
About the role:
Responsible for working on client tax activities including tax planning, tax compliance and preparation of corporate, trust and personal tax returns. The role of Tax Senior involves both advisory and compliance aspects.
Essential Duties:
- Assist with preparation and review of Federal and state income tax returns
- Advise and communicate with clients
- Review the accuracy of data on tax forms based on all tax rules and regulations
- Handle communication from clients and tax authorities
- Provide future tax planning solutions to clients
- Analyze tax data submitted by the client to maximize the outcome for the client
- Perform tax research, staying current on new tax trends and regulations
- Alert to client needs that may result in growth opportunity for the firm and communicates to team and client
- Supervise, train, and mentor the staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license required
- 4 - 6 years of public accounting experience in tax
- Innovative, entrepreneurial attitude, ability to take initiative and make things happen
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
- Detail oriented, confident, hardworking, analytical, creative, and a team player.
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and sales skills.
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Windows based computers, Microsoft Office products, web-based, and job specific software applications.
- Strong organization, delegation, and time management skills in order to set priorities and meet assigned deadlines.
