About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting the best and brightest talent to join our growing IT professional services team. This role acts as a brand ambassador for RL Canning, focusing on delivering exceptional talent while providing proactive and timely communication. This role also serves as a subject matter expert in talent acquisition and provides consultative direction and industry expertise to hiring leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively source and screen passive candidates and develop robust talent pipelines.
  • Pre-screen all applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, and experience.
  • Recruit, interview, and retain a qualified pool of candidates.
  • Learn and apply best practices in the recruitment process.
  • Network with relevant organizations to attract and hire top talent.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to ensure hiring needs and goals are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and team, while demonstrating strong networking, sourcing, and recruiting skills.
  • Interacts and communicates well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain candidate engagement throughout the recruiting and hiring process, ensuring consistent communication, and creating an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Effectively articulate job requirements, and offers, and negotiate counteroffers as appropriate.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information, professional integrity, and accountability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the IT Professional Services industry.
  • Must have experience sourcing, interviewing, and hiring IT professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and competing demands with a positive, proactive approach and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to maintain records of recruiting activity and provide consistent recruiting progress updates to clients, members of leadership, and the Human Resources team.
  • Experience sourcing candidates via LinkedIn, online databases, or other internet research methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and previous experience presenting to groups.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, iCIMS preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as MS Teams and Office 365.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
