System Engineer (Junior)

ITI is seeking a System Engineer to work in the Omaha Nebraska area at Offutt AFB. A US citizenship and a Top Secret Clearance is required. This position is for immediate hire.

The Junior Systems Engineer supports the 16th Air Force (16 AF) Joint Command Language Program Manager Database (JCD). Responsibilities include maintaining Microsoft servers through the use of installing various upgrade and security patches. Must have knowledge of MacAfee, SQL Server, PowerShell, Dos, SQL and other command languages for scripting and administering windows servers. Duties would include daily maintenance, log review and interconnectivity troubleshooting. SQL scripting and networking familiarization are a plus. This position is seated at Offutt AFB, NE and requires an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to upgrade Top Secret. The position is an 80-90% remote position, with the ability to go onsite as needed.

Key Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• Active Secret security clearance with the ability to upgrade Top SecretCurrent
• Sec+ CE or other IAT II compliant certification

Job Requirements:

• Maintain 16 AF JCD web servers.
• Maintain and update MS SQL Server database.
• Bug and ticket tracking using bug tracking software.
• Documents existing systems, processes and procedures.
• Perform weekly server security patches and monthly code releases.
• Understand system maintenance & troubleshooting procedures on a government-maintained network

Qualifications:

• Working Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio.
• Understanding of Basic SQL scripting and Commands.
• Working Knowledge of Internet Information Server (IIS)
• Working Knowledge of Dos, Command Scripts and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of Server Administration Toolkits.
• Troubleshooting experience in diagnosing performance issues on Windows Servers.
• Troubleshooting experience in diagnosing performance issues on Windows SQL Server.
• High level of self-motivation, productivity and attention to detail
• Well-organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, multi-tasking, verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving
• Ability to work in a team environment

Years of Experience: 1-3 years

Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, or related field. In lieu of a degree, two years of relevant experience may be considered.

* Position can be 80 - 90% remote with the ability to go on site

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
