A client of Montani Consulting is seeking a System Administrator to join their team. The individual in this seat will work to adopt, implement, and leverage their leading-edge technology. As part of a larger team, this versatile role provides first- and second-level support to corporate associates, whether on-site or traveling anywhere around the globe. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of prior experience in this role and be a great communicator with a problem-solving mindset. This is a direct-hire, full-time position located in Stamford, CT.

On an average day, you will:

  • Support Microsoft Windows server technologies (Server 2016/2019) operating systems, Exchange Online, DNS and Active Directory, and virtualization platforms.
  • Support and administer Azure AD.
  • Configure and install client, server, and networking equipment.
  • Manage access controls, including user accounts, VPN, and multifactor authentication.
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies, including; clients, cloud services, VoIP phones, cell phones, on-demand web meetings/collaboration, and client backup solutions.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to established standards.
  • Identify and resolve issues and service outages.
  • Ensure backup and recovery are consistently completed.
  • Periodically provide support for off-site Leadership conferences, Board-of-Director, and Shareholder meetings.
  • Assist with the following:
  • Management of the backup power generator.
  • Remediation of security vulnerabilities.
  • Implementation and management of global security initiatives.
  • Conduct Sarsbanes-Oxley audit preparations.
  • Conduct disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Provide support for Global Information Security investigations.
  • Work alongside the team for international projects along with the organization’s broader IT community.

To qualify for this job, you must have the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Technology or Computer Science
  • ITIL Practitioner Certification or greater.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy administration
  • VMware ESXi hypervisor
  • Veeam backup and recovery
  • Meraki Wi-Fi solutions
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, and routing
  • Working knowledge of firewalls and internet protocols (PPTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, & RPC)
  • Strong communication and customer-oriented interpersonal skills.
  • Solid troubleshooting ability for network, server, and desktop applications
  • Ability to work after-hours occasionally to support end-user requirements, leadership meetings, and technical upgrades

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
