Job description

We are looking for a motivated Survey Technician who has experience as a field surveyor to join our team in our Rochelle, Illinois, office. We are interested in talented, trustworthy and skilled people who are passionate about providing personalized attention to our clients.

What you'll do
You will work primarily in the field (so it's important you like all types of weather) to collect topographic survey data, set up and maintain project survey control, and complete construction layout and boundary field survey.

We promote a team environment, so you'll learn from fellow technicians and staff engineers, project engineers, environmental scientists and project managers. You'll maintain field and office equipment, too. And you'll develop leadership skills that build autonomy.

We should mention that the workweek will exceed 40 hours, especially during construction season.

What it takes
An associate degree in Surveying Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology or Construction Technology is a plus, but it is not required. A valid driver's license is required. We're looking for someone with some professional experience, but if you are a recent grad, eager to learn and motivated, we are interested. You should speak and write well. And you should have strong analytical and organizational skills. You must be a team player.
