Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a part-time Supported Community Living Associate to be a creative, energetic, and caring professional to assist and support individuals with barriers to independent living in the community.

The Supported Community Living Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with program participants, as well as finding and utilizing community resources that may benefit program participants. This position will identify the treatment and service needs of each individual served, as well as monitor and evaluate the progress of the treatment plan, assisting and facilitating as appropriate. This position will manage expenses, bill hours, and write high quality case notes, assisting the Supported Community Living Specialist with Individual Service Plan Development and Progress Reports.

The schedule is primarily Monday-Friday between 8:00am-6:00pm and will be 20-29 hours a week. The schedule is Monday through Friday only. No weekends or evenings. Travel between participant locations is required.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Six months experience in training and/or rehabilitation required. Post-secondary education may be substituted for six months of experience.
  • Supported Community Living Associates need a reliable vehicle, valid Iowa driver's license, proof of required auto insurance, and must pass motor vehicle record screening, dependent adult and child abuse, and criminal background checks.
