Advanced Research Systems (ARS), is seeking process and detail oriented candidates to help procure the materials and parts needed to build world-class cryostats.

The successful candidate will have expertise in some or all of the following responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

· Creating and reviewing purchase orders

· Contacting vendors for pricing and availability

· Checking supplier order status to ensure timely arrival of parts for use in production

· Surveying the production team to check if new inventory meets quality control

· Daily inventory checks to ensure minimum safety stock or more is available to production

· Maintain friendly relationships with key suppliers

· The Supply Chain Administrator will report to the Finance Manager.

· ARS strives to build a culture that promotes creativity and active communication to overcome challenges that arise in precision manufacturing.

Qualifications and Core Skills

· Associates degree in a field related to accounting, mechanical design, inventory, or supply chain management required

· Proficiency with Excel, and other Microsoft applications required

· 1 - 3 years of experience in accounting, inventory, procurement, mechanical design, supply chain management, or related internships preferred

· Strong interpersonal skills and a natural interest in meaningful dialogue with key suppliers

· Experience with reading Bills of Materials and Drawings preferred

· Process-oriented and able to maintain a high level of document organization

· Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment is a plus

· Understanding of ERP software a plus

· Must be able to lift up to 20-30 pound boxes when stocking goods

· Must be able to walk two miles per day unencumbered

· Ability to work full-time position based in Macungie, PA

· Legally eligible to work and reside in the USA

ARS specializes in Helium-Free Cryostats, Flow Cryostats, and Probe Stations; all of which are manufactured locally in Macungie, Pennsylvania.
