PROGRAM OVERVIEW: A Clean Start is a social enterprise that benefits youth enrolled in LSS’s transition-aged youth programs. This vocational opportunity allows the youth to become involved in an apartment turn-over and janitorial business while gaining employment soft and hard skills.

Experience in providing janitorial services and maintenance

• Must have a valid CA Driver License, clean driver’s record and required insurance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee administrative duties of business
• Teach skills to youth in the program
• Bid jobs, ensuring costs are covered
• Perform quality control on all jobs completed
• Demonstrate excellent customer service
• Attend staff meetings and program meetings.
• Serve as a role model in guiding clients and facilitating appropriate behavior regarding job relevant skills, and behaviors, self-care, personal interaction, social relationships and constructive time management.
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
• Communicate youth progress with staff
• Provide employment assessments in collaboration with participants and their team.
• Provide leadership to youth through problem solving, role modeling, and open communication.
• Attendance and representation of LSS in various employment opportunities in community

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
