Important: We are a DAY CAMP. We DO NOT provide housing/accommodations. This is a seasonal position.

The Camp Nurse is responsible for the care and supervision of all medical services including the following duties: looks after ill or injured campers. Administers medication. Reviews and complies all campers health forms and keeps an organized record of camper medical information. Communicates with parents and counselors. Keeps medications and records up to date.

The Camp Nurse has strong communication skills, extensive knowledge of first aid and CPR, compassion, ability to respond well to unexpected situations, excellent decision-making skills, good with children and/or teens, empathy, and strong emotional and physical assessment abilities

They must have:

• RN or LPN degree
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Experience working with children and youth
• Ability to maintain health forms and paperwork
• Ability to maintain and administer all medications
• Ability to make decisions and take initiative under pressure
• Strong communication skills

Essential Details

• Camp Nurse Hours: Monday Start 8:00 am Tues-Fri 10am-2:30pm
• Hiring Process is Competitive
• Seasonal position
• 3 Staff Training Days: June 3,4,10 (Camp Nurse would only be required to come 1 day for a brief time to meet staff)
• Set-Up Days: June 17 2023
• Summer Camp Dates: June 20- August 4

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• Early childhood education: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• RN License (Preferred)
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
