What We’re Looking For:

Our Varsity Spirt Shop department is looking for a seasonal, Customer Service Experience Agent to join the team at our Bartlett office.

The best customer service experience agents are multi-functional. They are outgoing and organized individuals that will professionally communicate with and provide excellent service to our customers as well as all areas of the company including other office and field staff.

This candidate will conduct themselves professionally with confidence and enthusiasm. They will be organized and will follow through with scheduled tasks to ensure service excellence to our customers.

This position will require creativity, organization, thinking outside the box, and working well as a team.

How you succeed:

  • First, learn the ins and outs of our department.
  • Learn how to navigate Shopify and AS400, which is what we use to perform daily duties.
  • Effectively communicate with our staff, customers and other personnel as needed.
  • Be detail oriented in all that you do and able to meet daily deadlines.
  • Be able to handle confidential information, payment processing and keep accurate financial information.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service through customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain files, spreadsheets, emails, and reports.
  • Be ready to step in and assist others when needed, teamwork!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all inbound as well as outbound callers.
  • Assist with receiving and placing orders.
  • Handle all closeout paperwork, including forms, and personal financial information.
  • Responsible for keeping files up to date, and available for quick access.
  • Posting monies to the correct session/event, as well as filling batch sheets out completely.
  • Work with the warehouse to assist with shipping and return needs
  • Assist staff in summer with camp merchandise and supply needs.
  • Assist in other areas as needed.
  • Reconcile camp closeouts, issue refunds, and provide updates to customers.
  • Provide tracking information to staff, re: merchandise, supplies, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • You have knowledge of cheerleading and/or dance.
  • You can hold a conversation at a party, explain how a smartphone works to grandparents and know the difference between “your” and “you’re” – that is, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have above-average willpower and determination; self-discipline is required.
  • You can stay positive after a long day of emails, data entry and phone calls and get that a team culture is built on the attitude of every member- enthusiasm and positive energy are an absolute must.
  • You have experience with Financial Accuracy and Customer Service or are smart and motivated enough to become proficient rapidly.
  • Willing to work overtime or weekends when necessary

This position and the support this person will provide the customer service office, will help ensure that we are providing the highest level customer service experience to all of our customers, while helping to ensure that all orders, sales, and closeouts are accurately completed in a timely manner. This would help to curb some substandard customer experiences and reduce declined transactions for purchases. Additionally, when the skills needed for customer service and financial operations are acquired the person in this position will also be able to help with other functions of the office.
