Position Status: part-time, non-exempt position of 20 hours per week

Background

Founded in 1986, the ESU Foundation is an independent affiliate of East Stroudsburg University with the sole mission of soliciting, receiving and administering gifts and donations that promote the growth, progress and general welfare of ESU and its students.

Position Summary:

The East Stroudsburg University Foundation, the 501(c)(3) affiliate of East Stroudsburg University, seeks an ESU student to assist with accounting, database and scholarship administration functions. Event support for alumni engagement, including planning, coordination and execution on the day of the event, is included. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and Administration, the student worker will also provide clerical support and perform other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities:

• Perform general office duties such as filing, typing, photocopying, and printing.
• Create labels and envelopes, and alphabetize files and data.
• Update Raiser’s Edge/Financial Edge database systems.
• Provide logistical support for on-campus alumni and Foundation stewardship events.
• Coordinate with Warrior Elite to help organize and gather volunteers at on-campus events.
• Organize hard-copy and electronic files.

• Complete other duties as assigned to meet fluctuating priorities.

Position Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate will be outgoing, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task.
• Must have proficiency with MS Office applications, internet and email.
• Possess the ability to work independently and with little supervision, while at the same time act as a team player.
• Must have strong organizational and planning skills.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to commit 20 hours per week.
• Successful completion of standard background checks.
• Must have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Comfortable with making calls to alumni and donors.
• Exercise professionalism and discretion in working with confidential information.
