C & J Equipment Manufacturing is a full-service fabrication company established in 1978. We manufacture superior quality equipment by implementing excellence in design and quality control. We offer a variety of engineering, design and fabrication services to exceed customer expectations. There is an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our team as we grow in new and existing markets. This is a remote position offering a competitive salary and a full benefits package.

This position is responsible for:

• Creating and analyzing drawings, specifications and calculations to ensure the integrity of structural support systems, buildings, structural repairs and other structural engineering projects
• Consulting with drafters, engineers, sales representatives, and managers to evaluate and approve projects
• Planning projects based on the analysis of relevant drawings, blueprints, and other data
• Contributing to project estimates based on materials, equipment and labor when necessary
• Monitoring project progress to ensure exact specifications and standards are met
• Using design software to deliver superior quality results as we continue growth in new and existing structural steel and manufacturing markets
• Other duties as necessary

Qualified individuals must meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience required
• PE license and corresponding education required
• Strong verbal and written communication via phone and electronic means
• Experience with design and analysis of steel structures
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and project management skills
• Must be able to work independently and coordinate with other positions or departments to ensure superior project quality and efficiency

Salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time
