Stratton is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Restaurant Servers to work with our catering teams. The main goal of these positions is to ensure high quality service and exceed all our customers’ expectations for an efficiently operated event.
All applicants should be experienced in the service industry particularly waiting tables, working banquets or bartending. Fine dining service experience a plus. All applicants should be outgoing and personable and should approach each day of work with passion and integrity and should have superior communication skills.
Stratton Mountain Resort is a team environment, and all applicants are expected to be team players. No one person could do this alone and every server plays an important role in the facilitating of our guests’ events. Must bring a positive attitude to work every day and should be able to multitask and think on one's feet.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Cashier duties (use of POS system, cash and credit card transactions) for some positions, at certain events
Setting up & breaking down prior to & post service based on service style
Delivering food and beverage items to guests
Clearing debris from floors and eating areas
Clearing tables of food, plates, silverware, etc.
Wiping tables and surfaces
Stocking food and supplies (beverages, napkins, condiments, trays, etc.)
Other duties as assigned by shift supervisor
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and walk with at least 30 pounds
Vermont DLC certification (Stratton can provide this training if needed)
Computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow directions
Flexible work schedule that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays
