Overview:

American Fireworks Store Merchandiser will represent our company. This position is mostly stocking, and cleaning stores scattered across Texas. The optimal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner and has a strong attention to detail. They must possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication and the ability to build relationships with store personnel.

The Store Merchandiser is responsible for being a part of the team, supporting the logistics processes in our stores and driving sales. This includes travel throughout Texas with some overnight stays. A company vehicle will be provided as needed, for this purpose.

Work originates most days from Bastrop, TX, then out to one of American Fireworks stores. (Garfield, Austin, Uhland, Seguin, Temple, Lorena, Troy, Hallsburg, Bay City, Van Vleck, Laredo, Zapata, and Eagle Pass)

Responsibilities:

• Building rapport with new and seasoned Store Operators
• Merchandising which includes resets, restocking, pricing, signage, displays and other visual elements
• Report observations on staffing, property issues and inventory issues to store managers
• Transport on-site delivery of materials, supplies and equipment
• Inventory control
• Write routine reports and correspondence
• Be a part of a team of merchandisers

Qualifications

• Retail experience such as stocking and/or processing freight in a large store, 1+ yrs.
• Merchandising 2+ yrs.
• Store remodels or new store setup 1+ yrs.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays with extended hours during season (7 Days a week, November 29 – January 18 and June 1 – July 15)
• Provide continual feedback on processes and procedures; suggest methods to improve operations and efficiency
• Must be able to operate a computer and have access to internet
• Bring a sense of urgency and commitment along with desire to get things done
• Duties may change and team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Valid driver license
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Live in Bastrop area would be best

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
