Immediate Full Time Opening for 2nd SHIFT (M-F, 4:20pm - 12:30am)
As a Stock Handler with Aptar you will:
- Order component parts through computer entry
- Deliver component parts to work stations by hand and using a hand truck and/or pallet jack
- Move cartons of assembled product from work stations by hand and using a hand truck and/or pallet jack
- Verify correctness of components through visual inspection and reading box labels
- Fill machine hoppers at various heights
- Perform recordkeeping duties; weighs scrap and records data
- Perform traceability and lot control functions utilizing a hand held scanner
- Perform housekeeping duties in the production area

General Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to bend and lift/move/push a minimum of 50 pounds and reach above the shoulder continuously throughout the shift (approximately every 15 minutes)
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for the entire shift
- Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues
- Must maintain high energy level, be able to communicate with others and work effectively as a member of a team
- Must have good vision in order to perform visual inspection duties
- Must be able to hear warning signals and verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process
- Must be able to discern shades of color and color differences relating to component parts used in the manufacturing process
- Assist in monitoring production equipment and acts as a backup to the Assembly Technician
- Assist in training new employees
- Steel toe shoes required (eligible for company reimbursement)
