Position Purpose:
The Central Sterile Processing Technician coordinates and collaborates with the overall cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and dispensing of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for daily surgical procedures in surgery and related departments.
Position Duties (Not all-inclusive):
- Responsible for control of all parts of the sterilization process including decontamination, prep, pack, and sterilizing; documentation of sterilization and sterile storage including remediation of equipment failures and hazards;
- Provide integrity and sterility of products and services for the customers;
- Operate and maintain sterilizing machine; keep records of loads completed, items of loads, and maintenance procedures performed;
- Monitor surgery schedules daily, identifying general, specific, and potential needs for all cases;
- Operate and maintain autoclaves, keeping records of loads completed, items in loads, and maintenance procedures performed;
- Assist with cleaning of rooms between cases and terminal cleaning.

Requirements:
- Certification in Central Sterile Processing (CBSPD, IAHCSMM, CRCST, or CCSVP);
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English;
- A clear background check and proof of up-to-date immunizations.
