The Elkins Park Fire Company is a medium-sized volunteer fire company established in 1892 and has been continuously serving the Township of Cheltenham for 130 years. We average around 500 calls a year ranging from structure fires, vehicle fires, vehicle accidents and extractions, fire alarms, and many other incidents. Our growing and diverse family prides itself on our history, present, and future.

We are looking for a Station Manager to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our station. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in operating fire apparatus, responding to emergencies, and ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed. The Station Manager will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments, ensuring that all equipment is in working order, and ensuring the station is kept clean. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a challenging role with a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the station.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Perform maintenance and janitorial duties.

Schedule appointments with vendors as it pertains to equipment.

Enter fire run reports into PennFIRS.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

- Experience and comfort in using IWork, Microsoft Word/Excel, Google Drive, and PENNFIRS

- Valid PA Driver’s License

- 2+ years of active interior firefighting experience

- ProBoard or IFSAC FF1 & FF2 Certifications

- Pump Operations 1 or equivalent

- EVOC (with aerial)

- Current fire apparatus driver (with aerial experience)

- HazMat Operations with current refresher

- CPR and First Aid with AED or equivalent
