Staffing Coordinator Job Description - (Via Agency Position)

Shift Timing: 10:00AM TO 5:30 PM

1. Maintain and update staffing schedule for RNs, LPNs and CNAs, Day, Evening and Night shifts (daily and weekends) in coordination with Nursing Staff ensuring efficient and adequate staffing coverage within each unit.

2. Collaborate with Nurse Educator to schedule Nursing in-service training and competency days ensuring sufficient coverage for units during training.

3. Assists in securing overall adequate coverage in collaboration with Nursing staff during absences to include FMLA, LOA, AL, Sick and Vacation.

4. Maintain and update the Nursing Calendar to include all requests for time-off (Vacation, Sick, FMLA, AL) ensuring appropriate approvals obtained.

5. Provide on demand daily staffing and census reporting to leadership.

6. Handle daily staffing inquiries and ensuring to collaborate with leadership to resolve staffing issues.

Experience with Computer and phone operations, Scheduling staff in a nursing home or hospital setting. Have experience with Time keeping system Preferably Kronos.

SPECIAL NOTE: Effective January 13, 2022, the Executive Order #283 and the final ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court mandates all staff working in long-term care facilities and nursing homes to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Executive Order #290 issued March 2, 2022, all employees that are eligible for a booster dose must receive their booster dose by April 11, 2022 or within three weeks of becoming eligible for a booster dose, whichever is later. Please do not submit your vaccination records at this time.

NJ State Law (N.J.S.A. 26:2h-18.79) requires all health care facility employees to have the influenza vaccination annually.
