The traditional model of Primary Care is broken. Patients remain on a hamster wheel of chronic diseases and medications, while providers burn out trying to change those outcomes. We need a different path forward.
At Core Primary Care, we’ve built a robust team around our providers to help them take a 360-degree view of our patients and address root causes, rather than rely solely on medication to solve short-term issues.
In addition to improving outcomes, we also seek to reduce provider burnout. A primary focus is taking all administrative and clerical work OFF of the provider’s to-do’s, so they can focus 100% of their time on what they love and do best, providing high-quality medical care. Better yet, we strive to give our providers only work 4-day schedules, giving them much-needed time to recharge each week.
Core Primary Care has been operating near the Medical Center since 2019 and expanded to Sugar Land in August 2022.
Our lead physician, Dr. Alejandro Mora, will stop working as the clinical lead in the Medical Center office to focus on the practice’s expansion and we are looking for a new physician to fill the Medical Center role.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat ~20 patients per day.
  • Review bloodwork and refill prescriptions on day to day basis as they come in.
  • Work as a team - questions and collaboration are encouraged.
  • Maintain a TX license to practice medicine in good standing.
  • Note: there is a moderate volume of in-office procedures (joint injections, I&D, skin biopsies, sutures, etc.). The candidate is NOT required to conduct these, but we are happy to train the candidate if there is an interest in learning.

Schedule:
  • Full-time with the expectation to work 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday (11-hour days).

Qualifications:
  • Active license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Prior work experience is NOT required.

Language:
  • English is required, and Spanish is a plus.

Compensation:
  • Market value salary plus yearly bonus, open to negotiation.
  • Retirement plan (401k) provided.
  • 2 weeks of paid vacation per year available after the first 6 months of employment.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $200,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
