Position Summary:

Pharmacists perform the day to day responsibilities of receiving and interpreting medication orders, verifying order entry in computer system, and dispensing medication products. Pharmacists also consult with patients, physicians, nurses, discharge planners, and other members of the health care team to provide meaningful and accurate drug information to effectively manage the patient’s medication therapy. Pharmacists oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians and other non-licensed personnel in the pharmacy. They perform therapeutic intervention as needed, provide drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, maintain patient profiles, perform drug therapy monitoring, and perform drug compounding. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy. Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $75.57 Midpoint $82.95 Maximum $90.32
Required Qualifications:
Current BLS or ACLS upon hire
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire
Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy
One year pharmacy practice or equivalent
Must have current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards
Ability to extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the patient’s medical management plan

Preferred Qualifications:
Pharm.D. highly desirable
Ability to operate Willow Ambulatory (WAM) computer system to process and verify prescriptions
