Vaco Atlanta is searching for a junior staff level accountant for a growing healthcare services company we work with located in Cumming, GA. Pay is targeted at $60K - $65K and this direct hire role is onsite (5 days in office per week). This is a great company, recession resistant and our hiring manager has a track record of developing strong accountants that have moved onto greener pastures. Responsibilities
- Assist in compilation of monthly financial statements to be prepared in accordance with standards, reviewed for accuracy, and distributed in a timely manner
- Complete all monthly bank account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner
- Complete all monthly balance sheet reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner
- Review payroll upload files at location level for accuracy before posting
- Review all accounts payable invoices for reasonableness and accuracy before posting (there is a separate AP specialist)
- Produce monthly financial reports as required or requested.
- Other Month and Year end accounting support including audit and tax support
Requirements:
- Degree from a four year college, preferably with a concentration in accounting
- One or more years of corporate accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable, payroll, debits and credits, accruals, balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications includng strong MS Excel skills (v-lookups and pivot tables)
- Experience with a mid to large ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Intacct or similar) required
