SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:
The Senior Project Management Associate is responsible for managing discovery-stage projects of a moderately complex nature. Works closely with Project Team Lead to move project from original concept through completion. With supervision, develops and maintains project plans, Gantts/timelines, and status reports in collaboration with team leaders and cross-functional members of teams. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing pre-clinical drug discovery projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • As an outward-facing representative of the Biotherapeutics group, interacts and collaborates with internal departments and external strategic collaborators to discuss and resolve project needs and issues in the discovery and early development.
  • Develops and maintains project plans, timelines, and development product profiles in collaboration with team leaders and lead cross-functional members of teams.
  • Manages preparation of project milestone reviews.
  • Works with the project team to identify risks and bottleneck and facilitates brainstorming with the teams to help identify resolutions
  • Manages meetings to include setting agendas, organizing meeting times and meeting minutes
  • Executes project management processes, and follows best practices in project teams to foster continuous improvement by sharing of knowledge
  • Ensures uniform processes/documentation between projects
  • Follows company intellectual property and compliance policies and practices.
  • Builds and leverages relationships and networks to improve and enhance team dynamics; proactively identifies opportunities and removes obstacles to drive business results.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Education/Experience:
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or,
  • MS/MA degree in related discipline and a minimum of 3 year of related experience; or,
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PMP/CAPM credentials are preferred
Experience/The Ideal for Successful Entry into Job:
  • Experience managing pre-clinical-stage project activities in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with biotherapeutic drug development is advantageous
  • Experience with Outsourcing, CMC development or Regulatory is a plus.
  • Requires 3+ years of Antibody related experience.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of MS Office Suite required.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, Smartsheet or equivalent Gantt software.
  • Basic understanding of the Drug Development process.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Identifies and implements methods, techniques, procedures, and evaluation criteria to achieve results.
  • Performs a variety of moderately complicated tasks under limited supervision.
  • Strong skills in verbal and written communication, meeting management, and presentation.
JOB COMPLEXITY:
  • Works on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of various factors. May work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
  • With appropriate input, exercises judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation of criteria for obtaining results.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Environment: primarily working indoors in an office environment
